Carl Zimmerman

oh, recipients where are you, you who live
because our beloved donor has died?

he was so unassuming, shunning the ever-present
spotlight, but we who are left behind, we ask,

oh, recipients where are you, you who live
because our beloved donor has died?

where are your thank-yous for the life you lead,
where are your works of appreciation for a
second chance at life?

Oh, recipients where are you, you who live
because our beloved donor has died?

have you raised your thanks to God? have you given
Him the glory? if so, praise His holy name; if not,

oh, recipients where are you, you who live because
our beloved donor has died?

can you not acknowledge your appreciation to your
anonymous donor's beloved family?

after all, the organ didn't come for a donor,
it came from my beloved brother.
