As Colleen Horan and I waited to find out if we could interview kids at Kid's Time, I met a very nice girl. Her name is Mikah Titus and she is six years old. Mikah is shy, yet she was able to answer a few questions. This is her second Games, and she is having a lot of fun.

Mikah is enjoying every aspect of the Games (except that Kid's Time was closed) and has been to Disney twice. She is extremely proud of her father, who had a pancreas/kidney transplant 10 years ago. He is competing in the 1K and 20K bicycle races. Her father received his transplant at a time when it was a new concept, and is one of the few people to have had a pancreas/kidney transplant for 10 years. Mikah's favorite rides include the Monorail and the Dumbo(tm) flying ride. Her favorite show at Disney is the Little Mermaid(tm). She lives in Kentucky, where she attends 1st grade at Mullins elementary school.

Marie Kent, a junior at Portland State University, is very excited about her team, Oregon and Washington's, victory. She is born and bred in Portland, Oregon and she received a kidney transplant. She plays volleyball and just recently defeated Team Florida's team in competition.

Another Volleyball player, Katie Castonguay was on the other side of the line. She is a kidney recipient with a very interesting story. Her donor is her mother, who donated her kidney to save her daughter's life. Her story is truly one of courage and caring. Katie is a senior in high school and will turn 16 very soon. Her team, Team Florida, was defeated by Team Oregon and Washington, yet Katie played very well and, hopefully, will return in 2 years.
