The organization and its mission:
LifeLink is an independent, nonprofit community service organization dedicated to the recovery and transplantation of organs and tissues. LifeLink operates under the authority of the Social Security Act, and in accordance with the National Organ Transplant Act passed by Congress in 1984. LifeLink undergoes federal recertification every two years and is audited by Medicare each year through the filing of detailed cost reports.

Unique or creative organ donation promotion strategies:
LifeLink of Southwest Florida and Florida Gulf Coast University joined forces to develop a survey instrument to assess student attitudes and opinions about donation. In addition, we worked to conduct and evaluate the educational, instructional, and enrollment campaign; and evaluate the impact of the multifaceted education campaign. This one-year program will conclude in August. We expect to incorporate the results in other university settings.
