Matters arising: The first Winter WTG had taken place in Tignes, France in January 1994. Congratulations and thanks on a successful Games were expressed to Olivier Coustere and TRANSFORME.

President's remarks: The President expressed his sympathy to Gloria Santini, Nico Bolle and David Cairns.

On the question of the time interval (2 years) between the World Transplant Games he remarked that increasing the time interval to 3 years would give more time to prepare and raise funds. However an athlete whose graft might have a limited span of function could miss the opportunity to participate if the interval between the Games was extended. With regard to regional games, he thought that this was a good idea and should be encouraged, eg. European, Asian, etc. Communication with and the support of the WTGF should always be sought.

Treasurer's report: The Treasurer reported that a membership certificate of the FEDERATION had been produced and these were distributed.

Our finance was as follows:

  4. Australia felt that there was a need for shot-put weights for different age categories. This was referred to the Council.
