S.T.A.R.S. is a registered U.K. charity which promotes:
- local support groups
- professional counselling and supervised befriending
- the latest research and "happenings" in the transplant world
- conferences and workshops on the important issues
- ways of finding and sharing hard to get information

Conference: Initiatives in Transplantation

We are holding a conference titled "Initiatives in Transplantation" at St Catherine's College, Oxford, U.K. on 22/23 September 1995. Guest speakers include Professor Sir Roy Calne, FRS "current achievements and failures and prospects for the future".

The Conference programme will begin at 4.00 p.m. on 22 September and end at 5.30 p.m. the following day. Accommodation is in single study bedrooms. Please note that Professor Sir Roy Calne will not be with us on the Saturday. Full details of the College amenities will be sent with booking confirmation. There is good wheelchair access. Non-members of S.T.A.R.S. may send for a membership application form to enroll before booking their conference places.
