Dear Friends,
A Very Happy New Year to you all.

In late November we held our Christmas Function on the lawn near Gloucester House. The big Jacaranda tree was still flowering providing some shade and its mauve flower petals made a picturesque setting for our picnic. It was a lovely day, though extremely hot and not as many people as '97, which was a shame. If anybody has some bright ideas about increasing the attendance please let Joy (02 9969 1983), Janet or John know as we plan to keep the THIRD Sunday in November as a permanent fixture.
Santa made a grand appearance, his usual jolly self and the children were kept happy with his presents and their races and games. We all enjoyed ourselves immensely and were delighted to have some of the In-patients there plus Imogen (Acting NUM) and other staff.
At the beginning of November I started a visiting program for Thursdays on E6 and the Transplant Unit. I usually take a Liver Transplant with me and we go to see as many patients as we can during the morning, answer questions and give assistance in any way possible except for Medical care which is the domain of Prof McCaughan and the Team. Again if anyone would like to come with me please give me a call.
