Fund-Raising For All

The Team Michigan Committee is very excited about the 2000 Games.  We are expecting 150 athletes from the state to compete in 2000.  The year 2000 Games may be the first time for any athletes to attend the Transplant Games and we want to support every athlete who wants to go.  Because a greater number of athletes will be attending, more money will need to be generated for the team expenses.

Your help will be essential for us to do this.  We are asking that each athlete participate in our fund-raising efforts.  Athletes will be asked to sell at least 10 raffle tickets or two bronze boosters ($50.00 each) to help Team Michigan go to the Games.   For your participation, you will receive financial support.  Any athlete may choose not to participate in the Team's fund-raising efforts, but doing so would forfeit their financial support to the Games.

Corvette raffle tickets will be sent to each athlete in February, but team boosters can be sold at any time.  Selling boosters can be fun and easy.  Think of two individuals who support your participation, a favorite restaurant, a local business or a family member.  All would make a great booster.  Ask them to support the cause of organ donation awareness -- a cause that affects us all.  Booster levels are:

Gold Booster:  $350.00
Includes 1/4 page ad in the 1998 Program and two sets of Team uniforms

Silver Booster: $200.00
Includes name in the 1998 Program, two T-shirts and two hats

Bronze Booster: $50.00
Includes name in the Program

Checks should be made to NKFM and returned to Lynne Zacharias at the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan, 2350 S. Huron Parkway, Ann Arbor, MI  48104.
