Your options
Before the invention of dialysis, people died if their kidneys didn’t work. Now there are three ways to provide your body with the services your own kidneys can’t do: two kinds of dialysis (hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis) and kidney transplantation.

Dialysis is a method to purify your blood by removing wastes, excess water, and minerals. Transplantation means getting a new kidney.

There are pros and cons to each option; you need to discuss with your doctor which is the best for you.
