Take care of yourself

Just because you are on the waiting list doesn’t mean your whole life has to go on hold.  Try to stay involved in activities. Keep up schoolwork or hobbies if possible.  Eat right, take your medications, and do what exercise you can to keep yourself as healthy as possible.

It is also important to talk about your feelings, especially if you feel depressed or anxious. Your social worker can be more than a good listener; he or she can also put you in touch with support groups. Your team is there to answer questions and help you along the way.
