My Journey

by Roy Huddleston

My journey, sometimes long, and tough;

This road that I'd hope to be simple has been rough.

No! Matter what happens, continue I must!

It can not be difficult, for it is in God I trust.

My journey, takes me a different route than I had planned;

Yet, with all of life's curves, He still leads me by His hand.

Sometimes life is full of questions that I don't understand;

Yet! With His help the master always say, "I can!"

My journey, seems impossible, with an unexpected event;

I twist and turn, until I realize my problem was heaven sent.

My faith rises, and soars on Eagle's wings;

It is then my heart is happy, and my mouth begins to sing.

My journey, continues with the voice of cheer;

And I realize His prescence is always near.

The burden I used to carry upon my back;

Now, I see the face of Jesus, and have no lack.

My journey, is not as hard as it could have been;

When I look back on the circumstances, I just grin.

He knew I would be a winner, for He had paid the way;

We will travel together, even closer, yet another day.

My journey, brought me many new lessons, and a trial or two;

So, my friends, take courage, for He will help you.

Now as I look back, strong and victorious;

I now realize, my journey, was nothing short of glorious.
