Sunday, August 2, 1998 It has been two years since the last U.S. Transplant Games in Salt Lake City.

Just two months after those wonderful days in August 1996, the staff of the National Kidney Foundation started planning the 1998 Games. Since then, countless hours have been spent in planning and arrangements. And now, twenty-five staff members from the National Kidney Foundation, and over 600 volunteers are here on the campus of Ohio State University, working together to put on the best US Games yet. NKF staff started arriving in Columbus Thursday, and have established their operations office on site.

Today, members of the TransWeb webcast team packed up computers, digital cameras, backpacks, bicycles, and notepaper into two minivans and left Ann Arbor, Michigan late Sunday afternoon. After driving three hours south, we arrived on the OSU campus around 9 pm.
We are ready to bring you the Games. Stay tuned!
