I was very sick my entire childhood, going in and out of the hospital my entire life. When I turned 15, I was admitted to the hospital with a body weight of 72 pounds at a height of 5'9". After an intense amount of tests, it was determined that my kidneys had failed, and I was placed on emergency dialysis to lower my counts to a level to sustain life. After spending 2 years mostly in the hospital, one of which on dialysis full time, I was placed on the Transplant list.

My mother then went through the tests to see if she was a good match to be able to give me a kidney. In April of '81, I was transplanted at Childrens Medical Center in Dallas Texas. After a very tough year of recovery and rejections, my body for the first time in my life started to become healthy, and I was able to start building some muscle and stamina. I have for the last 12 years worked on the Professional Tennis Circuit, traveling all over the globe in the scope of my job.

I would very much like to hear from other transplants, sharing the gift we have been given, and if possible, helping each other through rough spots in our lives. If you would like to talk to me my E-mail address is:
